I joined NLP in 2008 upon completing a Masters Degree in Town Planning at Newcastle University. NLP is well known and respected within the North East but the thing that really stood out for me was the friendliness and down-to-earth approach of the staff that I met from the company. NLP has a genuinely inviting feel and which quickly made me feel like part of the team.
NLP offers exposure to some exciting and challenging projects. I’ve only worked at NLP for two years and would never have expected that so quickly after starting I would be contributing to the regeneration of run down, urban areas or promoting the next major phase of a city’s growth.

I work best when I’m challenged so working at NLP suits me perfectly. Every project needs a distinct approach or an inventive solution so you are constantly encouraged to learn something new. This creative environment and the support provided from by NLP have been invaluable at this stage of my career. Whether it is providing new experiences and responsibilities to assist my APC or the flexibility to do work for the RTPI, NLP has strongly encouraged me to develop new skills.

NLP is a great place to work because of the people you work with. There is a lively and supportive atmosphere in the office making NLP an enjoyable place to work. There is a close knit community which often comes together to relax, whether it’s a team curry, drinks on a Friday or the annual Christmas party.
