Following 12 months of extensive survey work NLP has launched PE Kit, a new tool to assist housing developers engage with the local community.
NLP has analysed in detail over 3,000 written representations to major greenfield housing applications, capturing and scrutinising over 20,000 strands of objector information. In conjunction, with in-house GIS mapping capabilities the resulting database enables NLP to predict likely community responses to development having regard to local demographics and spatial characteristics.
The diversity of motivations and concerns between different groups is both fascinating and stark and our research clearly points towards a move away from a one-size-fits-all approach to community consultation. The launch of our PE Kit is particularly timely given the new requirements for community engagement to be introduced through the Localism Act
