NLP has secured planning permission for the development of 70 houses at Langley Moor, Durham. Committee members approved the proposals for Langley Hall Farm which will provide much needed family homes to address the current shortfall in Durham. The development will include affordable housing, contributions for improvements to a nearby football pitch and provide local economic benefits of around £1.6m.
This is an excellent result for a very good scheme which represents a significant boost to Langley Moor. The site's position outside the Local Plan's Settlement Boundary meant that it was a challenging case but we are pleased that the merits of the scheme have been recognised.
