Construction has commenced on De Vere’s latest Academy of Hospitality at Spenfield House, Leeds.
NLP managed the applications for planning permission and listed building consent for the change of use of Grade II* listed Spenfield House into an educational Academy. The Academy will provide hospitality and catering training for young people Not currently in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs).
The applications received support from Ward Councillors and local residents who welcomed the provision of much needed employment opportunities and the maintenance of a significant local asset.
We were delighted with the way in which NLP managed the process to ensure the smooth running and determination of the planning applications within the tight timescales involved. We look forward to restoring the interior of a fantastic listed building and welcoming the first cohort of students to the new Academy in March 2012.
