NLP Casts a Bright Future for Ford Foundry Site

August 26, 2011

Warwick District Council's Planning Committee resolved to approve Trilogy Developments hybrid planning application for the redevelopment of the former Ford Foundry Site in Leamington Spa this month.

 The detailed element is for a 7,000sqm gross foodstore and extensive infrastructure works across the site. The outline element is for a 10,000sqm landmark office, new employment floorspace and a hotel with public realm and open space improvements. In guiding Trilogy through a successful pre-application engagement and application process, NLP addressed the town centre impacts, land use and regeneration effects of the comprehensive regeneration phased scheme.

 Chair of the Planning Committee, George Illingworth, stated on the BBC's website;

We do intend that there will be employment on the site in due course. The result of having a supermarket is that the rest of the site will be cleared and decontaminated and will be much more attractive as a place for investment in the future.
