NLP’s leading role in Wales

June 14, 2011

NLP has yet again sponsored the RTPI Cymru Annual Conference in Cardiff, attended by over 230 delegates from across Wales.

In early June, this conference explored ‘New Beginnings?’ and considered the changing implications for planning in Wales following the newly devolved powers given to the Welsh Government. Speakers included the new planning minister, John Griffiths AM and Mike Pitt as the new Chief Executive of The Planning Inspectorate.

NLP’s Cardiff staff took a lead role during the day, with Malcolm Hockaday as Conference Chairman and Anna Prescott – national Chair of RTPI Cymru – giving the introductory speech. Gareth Williams ran a workshop on S106 Agreements and Sarah Goy led a workshop on NLP’s Gower Design Guide.

It is great that NLP has been able to continue its support of what has become the most important annual event for planning professionals in Wales
