Last month saw the Localism Act pass into law, promising to bring about a radical shake-up of the planning system.
But when will its effects be felt? The answer is far from simple. Whilst a handful of the Act’s provisions came into force on the day it was passed (or the day after), many more will have to wait for later commencement dates and / or further Government regulations or orders.
While we wait for Government to offer more information on timings, NLP's handy guide to the key planning measures, and when they come into force, should help. Please follow this link.
