NLP has been instructed by the Royal British Legion to submit a planning application for improvements to visitor facilities at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Comprising 150 acres of wooded parkland within the National Forest, the National Memorial Arboretum is home to over 200 memorials and was created as a year-round centre of remembrance for all those who have or continue to serve the nation.
The new visitor facilities will include an Armed Forces Pavilion, 'Heroes Square' and a Remembrance Centre with exhibition space, offices, education, retail and cafe uses to replace an existing smaller building. The scheme forms part of longer term plans for the site to create a World Class Centre for Remembrance and will meet the needs of the growing numbers of visitors to the site throughout the year and for key events.
