All local authorities along the route of High Speed 2 will need to respond to the proposals during various stages of their formulation. Even those who support the proposals are likely to require mitigation measures to be included to ensure the impacts of the scheme are acceptable for residents and businesses.
An integrated service
As part of a multi-disciplinary consortium, NLP has held two seminars in London and Birmingham on the planning, legal and environmental aspects of HS2. In addition to NLP’s planning and economic services, the consortium comprises environmental, engineering, public relations/political and legal advisors. This means we are well placed to support you on all aspects of HS2.
The consortium can help you respond to the HS2 proposals by defining the key issues arising and provide evidence for potential objections, mitigation or support. NLP can also assist with engagement with consultation processes and help assess proposals against policy and deliverabilty, as well as review the need case and alternatives.
