NLP has provided planning advice at Alton Towers Resort, the UK’s most visited theme park, since 1990.
Balancing Requirements
The theme park is located in a conservation area and contains 32 listed buildings and historic gardens. NLP has prepared a Conservation Plan for the resort and obtained planning permission for hotels, a waterpark and numerous rides, balancing commercial requirements with conservation issues.
Long Term Plan
NLP is working with Merlin Entertainments Group to prepare a long term plan for the resort.
NLP also advises Merlin Entertainments Group on other major tourist attractions in the UK, including Chessington World of Adventures, THORPE PARK, LEGOLAND, Windsor, Madame Tussauds, London, London Eye, Warwick Castle and The Blackpool Tower.
