Bisham Abbey is one of the most policy-constrained locations in the Country. The site is designated as Green Belt, lies within floodplain, within the setting of the River Thames and within a Conservation Area and a Special Landscape Area. In addition, the Abbey itself is both a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Despite these constraints, NLP secured planning permission for the creation of an English Institute of Sport at Bisham Abbey, which includes state of the art sporting facilities for both world elite athletes and local community clubs.
NLP continues to advise on planning issues and has secured permission at appeal for floodlights at Bisham Abbey.
