NLP has been advising Crest Nicholson for 10 years on the redevelopment of Bristol Harbourside; successfully securing outline planning permission for the comprehensive regeneration of a largely contaminated and derelict 6.8 hectare site for circa 700 residential units, 47,000sqm of office and 18,245sqm of retail and leisure uses, a 180 bed hotel, casino and fitness centre.
NLP has led the preparation and submission of subsequent detailed applications and reserved matters for various phases of the development including the preparation and co-ordination of updates to the Environmental Statement for each phase. NLP has provided expertise on socio-economic and cultural heritage given the site’s location in a Conservation Area and proximity to a number of listed buildings. Construction of the final phase of the scheme is due to be completed in 2014.
