A previous scheme for a neo-classical mansion on the site stalled due to significant local opposition.
Following the purchase of the site by our client, NLP co-ordinated and led extensive pre-application negotiations with the local residents and amenity groups as well as the City of London (owners of Hampstead Heath) and the local planning authority in relation to a new scheme of contemporary design.
Through this consultation, the initial local concerns in relation to construction impacts, hydrogeology and impacts upon the Health were overcome and planning permission was granted.
