NLP provides planning advice to Merlin Entertainment Group at LEGOLAND Windsor, a major tourist attraction in the Metropolitan Green Belt.
LEGOLAND Hotel and SEALIFE Attraction
Our work has included obtaining planning permission for a 150 bedroom LEGOLAND Hotel and SEALIFE attraction at the Park. We undertook extensive public consultation and due to site’s location in the Green Belt, we co-ordinated, and provided specialist input into, an Environmental Impact Assessment. The Environmental Statement highlighted that LEGOLAND Hotel will produce 28% of its energy through renewable technologies and will include a sustainable urban drainage scheme to minimise the impacts of run off.
Ongoing Advice
NLP provides ongoing planning advice, and monitors emerging planning policy on behalf of the Park.
We also advise Merlin Entertainments Group on other major tourist attractions in the UK including Chessington World of Adventures, THORPE PARK, The Blackpool Tower, Madame Tussauds, London and Warwick Castle and the London Eye.
