NLP, on behalf of Bouygues UK, obtained planning permission for significant extensions to Leytonstone School.
NLP’s role included providing advice to the client and the design team as the scheme evolved and preparing and managing the planning application process. This included extensive pre-application negotiations with panning officers.
Located in a densely built up area, it was important that the proposals were sensitively designed to minimise the impact on the amenity of adjacent residents.
Given the site’s location within a Conservation Area and itself being locally listed, it was important that the extension had an appropriate relationship with its setting. This was demonstrated in a Heritage Impact Assessment prepared by NLP.
