NLP secured planning permission for a major mixed use development in Woolwich Town Centre.
The ‘Love Lane’ scheme comprises up to 960 residential units, a Tesco store, new civic offices including a library and local service and business centre, along with other retail, office and community uses.
NLP Role
NLP advised on the planning strategy and undertook significant community and stakeholder engagement. This included liaising with the Greater London Assembly, English Heritage and CABE.
We were responsible for the hybrid planning submission with accompanying Environmental Impact Assessment. NLP prepared Environmental Statement chapters on townscape and visual impact, built heritage and socio-economic impact, with separate statements on town centre and retail, sustainability, regeneration and housing matters. The NLP Heritage Assessment made the case for the demolition of two locally listed buildings.
NLP secured a number of reserved matters approvals for the Tesco phase of development (phase 2). This now includes 259 residential units on the roof of the store.
