NLP obtained planning permission for a train assembly plant at the Tyne Marshalling Yards in Gateshead's Green Belt.
Working in association with regional development agency One NorthEast, NLP led the submission and management of this complex planning application.
The application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement which clearly demonstrated that there would not be a harmful visual impact on the Green Belt and that the significant economic and regeneration benefits provided ‘Very Special Circumstances’ to justify the development.
